Prof. Dr. Ona C. Miller
The Global Female Leadership InstituteDr. Ona C. Miller is the CEO of The Global Female Civility Leadership Institute, serving as a Global Educator, Expert Panelist, and Keynote Speaker. Her mission is to research, educate, and counsel on how policies and educational systems impact women worldwide. As an influential advocate, Dr. Ona provides wisdom and strategic guidance, helping women navigate and overcome internal and external barriers to achieve their full potential. She evaluates complex challenges, offering tailored recommendations for individuals, organizations, governing bodies, and institutions to reach optimal outcomes.
With a Ph.D. in Professorship and an EdD in Education, Dr. Ona specializes in transforming environments for Women in Leadership, Global Female Relations, and Women’s Societal Positioning. She has over 20 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, focusing on Women in Leadership, Global Relations, and Organizational Leadership.
Dr. Ona founded National Female Civility Day, a celebration of female unity and appreciation intended to foster a global, intercultural, and inclusive environment for women. She is also the visionary behind The Global Library of Female Authors and is a 5-time published author and 4-time co-author. A qualitative researcher, Dr. Ona extends her studies in both secular and faith-based universities, authoring curricula that reshape perceptions and roles for women. Her expertise includes exploring the roots of female behaviors related to civility and examining ethical leadership frameworks.
In addition to her doctoral degrees, Dr. Ona holds a Master’s in Management and a Bachelor’s degree covering communication, statistics, human resources, and more. Her studies equip her to lead in organizational communication, manage diverse environments, and navigate complex legal and ethical issues.
Honored with a World Greatness Award and inducted into the World Book of Greatness by Greatness University in London, Dr. Ona has also served as a panelist at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW63 and CSW64). She received the CFO Award for Superior Mission Achievement at DHS.
Dr. Ona remains committed to identifying barriers women face due to social, economic, cultural, and traditional constraints. She is passionate about education, empowerment, and leadership, advocating for learning from history and advancing with innovative strategies, new narratives, and effective disciplines to create a brighter future for women everywhere.
